JVES is an empaneled Support Agency for Organic Farming projects with National Centre for Organic & Natural Farming (NCO&NF), under Min. of Agricultural Cooperation and Farmers Welfare (MAC&FW), since 2016.
Promoting sustainable practices in agriculture and water resources is a collective responsibility. We must all take action to ensure that we can meet our current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This can involve supporting sustainable businesses, advocating for policy changes, and making individual choices that reduce our environmental impact. By working together, we can create a more sustainable future for agriculture and water resources, one that ensures food security, protects natural ecosystems, and promotes economic development.
As the world’s population continues to grow, there is an increasing demand for food and water. However, conventional farming practices have had a negative impact on the environment, leading to soil degradation, water pollution, and biodiversity loss. It is therefore urgent that we adopt sustainable practices in agriculture and ensure that we can meet our current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Adopting sustainable practices in agriculture and water resources can bring many benefits. For example, sustainable farming methods such as crop rotation and integrated pest management can improve soil health and reduce the need for chemical inputs. This not only leads to healthier crops but also reduces the risk of water pollution and improves biodiversity.
We work closely with farmers to provide them with education and training on sustainable farming practices, as well as access to organic fertilizers and seeds. We work as Support Agency for PGS INDIA ORGANIC Certification Programmes and also a ICS for 3rd Party Certification Bodies under APEDA for Organic Certifications such as INDIA NPOP, USDA NOP, COR etc. Our extensive knowledge in implementing a complete traceability system in multiple crop and agro climatic conditions has helped us bag challenging assignments in multiple States. We provide end-to-end services for the farmer / growers / planters and Govt. departments in the Organic farming, Certification and Market Linkage segment.
We have developed in-house Control systems and SOPs for farmers with detail training modules in local languages, which help us implement the scope of the certifications with due support from trained field teams. During the course of our journey we too have learnt many things from farmers as indigenous knowledge on biological management of pest and diseases other than providing nutritional support to crops. These knowledge we have inculcated in our programmes which not only helped us but also provide a tool for cultural connectivity. In our opinion, Organic farming is not a technique but a way of life which is very much in tandem with Nature. Certifications are tools for assuring Consumer that the product is genuine and hence they are very important aspect of the responsibility.
